All-In-One Selfie Stick and Tripod

I'm glad I brought not just a selfie camera stick but a selfie stick and tripod all-in-one. We used it a lot in Japan and some of the photos and videos I took using it are fond mementos of our vacation we loved.

People are using selfie sticks with their cameras and phones a lot these days. But they only seem to be selfie sticks and nothing more. So I'm glad I found the Bluehorn All in one Portable 40 Inch Selfie Stick Tripod with Wireless Remote Shutter. Yes, I know, that's a name. But I actually cut down the length of it from what the seller calls it on Amazon. (Note: If you purchase via Amazon using my links on this page I receive a small commission, though you pay the same amount as you would otherwise.)

I took this photo with the selfie stick.
When fully extended, it gives a good deal of length.
Basically, it is a collapsible selfie stick that you can use to hold your phone or camera at a distance from you. But it also functions as a tripod so you can set it down and take photos from an even greater distance. And it has a bluetooth button device that you can press from a distance to trigger your phone to take the photo!

This was an uneven, dirt trail.
But I adjusted the tripod's legs to keep it upright and steady for this shot.
I found the Bluehorn All in one Portable 40 Inch Selfie Stick Tripod with Wireless Remote Shutter worked very well for us. I could extend it fairly easily by pulling on it and it would not collapse unless I pushed it back to a shorter length. It was small enough when collapsed that I could easily store it in a small backpack. And it comes with attachments so you can either clamp a phone to it or screw a camera onto it.

The tripod function also worked well. You can adjust its legs so that it stays upright even on uneven ground or surfaces.

I also took this photo with my camcorder mounted on the selfie stick.
I used the Bluehorn All in one Portable 40 Inch Selfie Stick Tripod with Wireless Remote Shutter with my camcorder to take videos and photos. I did not use my phone with it, so I did not have a need to use its bluetooth remote control. I just used the app on my phone that Sony (the camcorder manufacturer) provided to take photos and videos from afar.

This was one of my favorite photos from our vacation. I took it from  quite a distance using the tripod on the ground.
