Hotel Asia Center of Japan

We were pleased with Hotel Asia Center of Japan. I chose it in large part because it was inexpensive but I was still hoping for good quality. And we got that good quality here.

The staff at Hotel Asia Center of Japan all spoke decent English and were friendly, courteous, and competent.

Some random thoughts: There was free, good bottled water for guests. Free lessons in calligraphy, origami, and the tea ceremony were available at certain times. The whole hotel was clean and neat, including our room. The hotel's area and our room were quiet.

Free buffet-style breakfast was included for guests at Hotel Asia Center of Japan. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the Western-style and Japanese foods and beverages at breakfast. We felt that we were fed very well and we enjoyed breakfast. I believe they also offer lunch and possibly dinner (though only breakfast is included with your room's cost).

Amusing peculiarities we noticed were that the bathroom was elevated above the bedroom; there was a sizable gap under the bathroom door; and the room seemed to sway just slightly at times. (I'm not sure whether there was a mild earthquake at the time or whether it was due to some other cause. But it didn't bother us.)

I had selected the "Compact Twin Room Non-Smoking" (claimed to be 14 square meters) and made the reservation by emailing Hotel Asia Center of Japan. For an inexpensive hotel room, it was nice. I had no complaints about the quality of the room. But with our suitcases unfolded on the floor, we had to step over them to get from the beds to the bathroom and vice versa. So we did feel a bit cramped. I would consider staying at Hotel Asia Center of Japan again. But if we were to do so I would select a larger room, such as their "Superior Twin Room", which is still relatively inexpensive.
